NotebookLM may extract data from wrong sections (highlights instead of financial statements), use incorrect units, miss page numbers, or include calculation errors. The validation prompt catches these issues automatically.

Unit mismatches: P&L in Millions, Cash Flow in Thousands - validation flags inconsistencies
Wrong statement type: Standalone instead of Consolidated, Interim instead of Annual
Calculation errors: Gross Profit ≠ Revenue - Cost of Sales (missing items)
Unbalanced flows: Operating Profit inflow ≠ outflows (missing Finance Cost or Other Income)

🔧 TROUBLESHOOTING

❌ Chart not generating?

Check data format: ensure END_OF_DATA marker present, nodes in quotes, comma-separated values.

⚠️ Nodes appear tiny?

Chart has many columns (7+). Increase bar width in Settings or use fullscreen mode.

🔍 Wrong unit/currency?

Edit inline in chart header or re-paste data with corrected metadata.

💾 Charts disappeared?

Check Library tab. Charts stored in browser localStorage. Don't clear browser data.
